The Opportunity

We are establishing a pool of
Policy and Project Managers
for the FPAR team to meet both our immediate and future resourcing needs. As a dynamic directorate known for our responsiveness, high performing teams and prominent programs, our workforce is critical to our success.

In FPAR, our Policy and Project Managers lead major initiatives aligned with Government priorities. You'll bring proven experience developing policy and strategy to drive project delivery. You'll represent the Department in cross-agency working groups and strategic forums and provide expert advice to Government on key issues such as supply chain resilience, transport governance, national policy development, aviation infrastructure investment, and the growth of regional air services.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead with impact
    – Guide a talented team to deliver innovative, high-value policy and project initiatives that shape the future of WA's ports.
  • Drive strategic excellence
    – Spearhead the development and continuous refinement of strategies and policies that align with WA Government priorities and respond to emerging challenges.
  • Champion key initiatives
    – Play a central role in advancing:
  • Economic diversification across the State.
  • Decarbonisation of Western Australia's economy.
  • Strengthening and future-proofing the State's supply chains.
  • Represent with authority
    – Be the Department's voice in interagency working groups and strategic projects, influencing outcomes at the highest levels.
  • Advise with confidence
    – Provide expert, trusted advice to Government on critical port matters, helping shape decisions that affect the State's infrastructure and economy.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 18 months from date of first appointment across the Department.
