We currently offer business services in all major engineering disciplines, project management and town planning and are positioned as leaders in energy transition.

TfA Project Group is currently seeking anArchitectural Graduate /Building Designerwith experience in the design of fuel, retail, commercial, and industrial developments to join our expert project delivery team. This is a permanent position, available immediately and will see you working with a group of enthusiastic and capable professionals. The position is available in our Sydney office located in Mascot, NSW.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Architectural Graduate / Building Designer who has proven experience developing projects from concept design through to construction, backed up with a sound understanding of construction principles and methods. The successful applicant will be exposed to all facets of design relating to commercial and retail project developments predominantly associated with service station and related fuel industry developments.

The duties also include:

- Developing site layouts and building designs for retail, commercial, industrial and residential projects from concept to construction

- AutoCAD and Revit design and drafting, including photorealistic rendering of designs

- Liaison with internal stakeholders and at times clients, authorities, sub-consultants and contractors to deliver project requirements

- Managing your time and workload to enable efficient delivery of project work

- Working in a national, multidisciplinary team to deliver projects efficiently meeting budget and quality requirements

The successful candidates must have:

- Tertiary qualifications in architecture or building design – i.e. Bachelor of Architecture or Diploma Building Design (or equivalent qualification)

- Demonstrated knowledge of the BCA/NCC and DDA compliance

- Strong AutoCAD and REVIT drafting skills

- Some knowledge of Adobe software might also be helpful

- A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience

- Sound understanding of construction principles and methods

Experience in the following areas is essential:

- Autodesk AutoCAD (recent versions up to and including 2019)

- Revit Design Suite (recent versions up to and including 2019)

- Building modelling

- Architectural/building detailing

- An ability to interpret and integrate civil/structural/electrical/mechanical & hydraulic designs into design documentation

- Enscape – for rendering of Revit Models (not essential but will be viewed favourably)

- Adobe Photoshop and Indesign – for presentation and marketing packages (not essential but will be viewed favourably)

The successful candidates will require:

- Responsive interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong work ethic and good self-motivation

- Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written), in particular a high level of technical writing ability (reports, professional emails and letters)

- Ability to work autonomously and be highly productive

- Team player. Experience with multi-disciplinary teams

- Ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently in a quality, cost effective and efficient manner

Salary & Conditions:

Your salary will be negotiated depending on your breadth and years of experience.
