Senior Project Engineer – FIFO – Albury, NSW

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with a mix of Civil/Structural experience, strong TfNSW and contractor management skills to help manage the delivery of a major part of the Inland Rail project. The candidate should have demonstrated experience managing contracts up to $60M, ideally on similar TfNSW projects.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Provide engineering support to the greater team to facilitate the civil construction process.

- Ensure design deliverables are clearly defined in support of construction and project deliverables.

- Maintain positive relationships with client representatives.

- Actively develop work packages in support of project construction activities, defining scope of works, materials and resource requirements.

- Support and assist the construction team in the execution of the project on time and to budget.

- Ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the Project Quality Management Plan and Workplace Health and Safety standards.

- Directly influence the safety culture through the promotion of safe work practices to all project personnel.

- Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality‑control functions for all activities at site.

- Implement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution Plan.

- Continually monitor the work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their own career development.

Qualifications and Experience

- Proven experience in Civil or Structural engineering.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering.

- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex issues.

- Highly desirable prior experience of managing WAD agreements.
