Our client is an innovative and fast-growing Australian tapware brand that is seeking an entrepreneurial Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive its next stage of scale. With a strong market presence, high-quality product design and global distribution, the company has grown into a multi-million-dollar business, with a continued growth journey ahead.
This role will suit someone that thrives in a scaling environment, with proven experience in a Founder-led business, having previously grown a business from circa $20M to $60M+, within B2B/wholesale.
As COO, you will have full ownership of operations, the leadership team and the execution of the company’s growth strategy. Your focus will be ensuring operational excellence while enabling continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the leadership team with authority and diplomacy, ensuring clarity and accountability across all departments
- Embed performance scorecards, quarterly priorities, weekly leadership meetings and action items into the way the business runs
- Develop and mentor managers to build capability and strengthen leadership habits
- Build alignment across sales, marketing, product, operations and finance
- Ensure clear strategies exist for sales, marketing and product, enabling managers or external partners to design and deliver them
- Oversee market entry, product launches and major commercial initiatives
- Oversee leaders responsible for warehousing, logistics, customer service and supply chain to ensure quality and service standards are met
- Support managers to improve systems and processes that enable scale
- Partner with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, cash flow and margin control
- Ensure operational and commercial decisions preserve and strengthen profitability
Qualifications
- Proven track record of scaling a product based business from circa $20M to $60M and beyond in revenue and have worked in a Founder led business
- Full P&L ownership, directly managing financial performance
- Led executive leadership teams, holding senior leaders accountable for execution
- Experience across multiple revenue channels particularly B2B, essential, along with DTC, Retail and International
- Ability to balance revenue growth and profitability simultaneously
- A hands-on leadership approach – mentoring rather than micromanaging, while still executing
- Experience leveraging AI and automation to enhance efficiency and execution
