- Leading Flight Training Organisation- based at Moorabbin Airport - Join a busy and safety conscious team - Full Time opportunities available The company CAE Aircraft maintenance, a leading provider of General Aviation maintenance services, is currently seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer. CAE Aircraft Maintenance, based at Moorabbin Airport, maintains a diverse range of GA fixed wing aircraft, from C172’s through to Pilatus PC-12’s. The Role: You will be assisting the Chief Engineer with day-to-day operations within the Hangar. Co-ordinate with LAME’s, AME’s & apprentices carrying out 100-hourly & annual maintenance inspections. Ensuring aircraft safety and regulatory compliance, scheduled and unscheduled checks. Responsible for the operations in the absence of the Chief Engineer. Our core hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am-4pm. Qualifications and experience required - Minimum 5 years as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) in a General Aviation (GA) environment. - Must have current licences – Part 66 B1.1 & B1.2 (B2 highly desirable) - P&WC PT6 and Pilatus PC-12 type ratings, or with company support, be able to obtain them. - Active, on-the-tools role requiring hands‑on maintenance experience. - Ability to communicate effectively in a complex technical environment. - Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and communicate changing priorities daily - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability. - Takes personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work.
