City of Melbourne, Australia ClearCompany Full time

Overview

Doutta Galla Aged Services has been providing trusted and compassionate aged care across Victoria for more than 30 years. We are proud of our reputation for quality and our strong connection with residents, clients, families, and communities.

We are seeking a Chief Client Officer to join our highly effective Executive Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services. This role is both strategic and operational: ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and resident/client and family experience, while guiding our people through a period of transformation and renewal.

The Chief Client Officer will lead the delivery of Residential Aged Care, Independent Living and Home Care services. The role will drive operational excellence, financial sustainability and consumer centred care across the service portfolio. Working closely with the Chief Governance Officer, you will ensure service delivery, compliance and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and supported by a long-serving Board, the Chief Client Officer will lead with presence, clarity, and influence. You will oversee all aspects of care delivery, ensuring that every resident, client and their family experiences excellence. At the same time, you will support organisational growth, building capability, embedding strong clinical governance with the Chief Governance Officer, and inspiring your team to embrace new ways of working and excel at service excellence.

Responsibilities

- Provide leadership and direction in all aspects of clinical care and service delivery.
- Ensure service excellence in resident, client and family outcomes, embedding a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Build the capability and resilience of the clinical and care support workforce, inspiring and empowering staff through a period of change.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Team, CEO, and Board to set strategy and deliver operational excellence.
- Lead organisational transformation, supporting a newly defined leadership structure where governance and operations are distinct but interdependent.

Qualifications and attributes

As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced clinical leader, ideally with a strong background in aged care and residential services. A Registered Nurse qualification with a current AHPRA registration is essential. Beyond your technical expertise, your ability to engage, communicate, and bring people on the journey will be critical to success. You will combine strategic vision with operational focus, underpinned by a genuine commitment to quality outcomes for residents and clients.

Opportunity and team

This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in a respected, values-based organisation. You will be part of a highly collaborative Executive Team, working alongside a supportive CEO and a committed Board, with the scope to influence the direction of aged care services for years to come.
