Task & responsibilities

Hotel Management report directly to the owner. Tasks and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:

- Manage and oversee day to day operations and hotel staff performance in all areas (reception, food & beverage, housekeeping and events)

- Arrange and liaise with external contractors as required

- Roster creation, implementation, and labour management

- Manage and be responsible for hotel compliance

- Complete room checks to ensure Housekeeping has been completed to a high standard

- On boarding new staff as required

- Be responsible for the health and safety of all guests and staff

- Work to meet sales and operational targets set by the owners of the business

- Work with our marketing department to promote the hotel

- Answer customer and guest enquires in an efficient and friendly manner via phone, email and in person

- Manage and resolve guests concerns in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction

Qualification & experience

- Have obtained or have the ability to obtain RSA in Australia

- Have obtained or have the ability to obtain RMLV & Approved Managers License in Australia

- Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry in Australia

- Experience within a hotel that provides accommodation

- Proficient back-office skills (reservation systems, cash handling, reporting)

- Day to day hotel operational management skills

- High level communication skills (verbal and written)

- High level customer service focus required

- Strong attention to detail

- Very strong leadership skills, can lead by example and motivate a team

- Excellent personal presentation

- Full availability as this position involves night and weekend work on a rotating roster
