About the Role

- National role

- Hybrid working options (e.g., office + field + remote) 1 day WFH

- OTE up to 200k

- KPI- based performance reviews (quarterly/annually)

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth by identifying and securing high-value, potential or strategic new to business clients across sectors, leading early-stage client engagement, and shaping tailored security solutions in line with their specific needs underpinned by Wilson Security’s market leading value proposition. Collaborate cross-functionally to build strategic relationships, ensure service alignment, and contribute to profitable business growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

- Identify and engage high-value, strategic clients aligned to the national growth strategy.

- Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline through market scanning and research.

- Lead early-stage client engagement and internal alignment.

- Initiate contact with senior decision-makers and drive stakeholder mapping.

- Coordinate client briefings, site visits, and develop tailored value propositions.

- Collaborate with internal teams to align service delivery with client needs.

- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform growth strategy.

- Achieve sales targets and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Sector Expertise & Collaboration

- Partner with sector leads to align outreach with strategic priorities.

- Create sector-specific value propositions using internal expertise and insights.

- Share best practices across states to support national alignment.

- Contribute to marketing initiatives, events, and industry forums.

- Build thought leadership and gather competitor and market intelligence.

Bid & Solutions Development

- Lead the development of tailored, commercially viable security solutions.

- Collaborate with internal teams on tenders, proposals, and client presentations.

- Assess financial, legal, and operational risks in bid responses.

- Advise on service design, costing, and pricing strategy.

- Support negotiations and proposal reviews at the state level.

- Maintain accurate records in CRM and manage pipeline progression.

- Report on lead generation, opportunity status, and key pursuits.

- Act as a CRM advocate across teams.

- Provide industry insights and contribute to strategic planning.

- Evaluate bid outcomes and refine future targeting strategies.

- Experience in mining or transport industry is highly desirable.

- Excellent writing, presentation, and influencing skills at senior levels.

- Committed to ethical sales, confidentiality, and long-term relationship growth.

- Proven ability to engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.

- Skilled in sales management, including risk assessment, negotiation, and closing deals.

- Proficient in CRM platforms, project tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
