Tracker Development is recruiting a Manager for Minyma Kutjara Arts in WA.
The Role
The role of the Manager is to support the delivery of high-quality arts and cultural
programming for Minyma Kutjara Arts.
The Manager oversees all aspects of the art centre's operation and reports directly to the
Irrunytju Community Development Advisor. They are responsible for ensuring strategic
and sustainable growth as well as maintaining and developing relationships within the
cultural, arts, tourism, Indigenous and economic development sectors.
The Manager is also responsible for day-to-day administration, financial management,
funding, marketing, sales, and ensuring the delivery of arts and cultural services. To
succeed in this position, the successful applicant must have the ability to work in a cross-
cultural environment. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
Location
Irrunytju Community (Wingellina), Ngaanyatjarra Lands, WA.
Benefits and Renumeration
Contract: Fulltime, 24-month contract with a six-month probation period. Ongoing
employment is subject to funding.
Salary package: approximately $110,000.
Benefits:
24-month contract.
$101,244 salary, plus regional allowance of $4,333 and superannuation.
4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading.
3 weeks additional leave per year with $690 travel allowance x 3
1 week remote leave per year (accrued every 12 months on the anniversary of
commencement) with $2,353 flight allowance
Relocation assistance.
Salary sacrifice available.
2 b/r, furnished accommodation and utilities provided, rent free.
Travel in support of Minyma Kutjara Arts to key art sector events.

artworks, share stories, and pass on knowledge. Working in a diverse range of mediums,
with a strong connection to culture, Country and community, artists continue tradition
while creating a sustainable business model for future generations.
Selection Criteria
Please address the following selection criteria in your application.
Essential
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations
people, and with a diverse range of stakeholders, including industry and
government partners.
Knowledge of the First Nations arts sector.
Experience working with remote First Nations communities.
Experience in a similar role.
Proven ability to lead and manage projects and lead the governance,
administration, and management of a not-for-profit organisation.
- Proactive administrative and organisational skills with fluent and effective written
and verbal communication.
- Willingness to travel and work outside of normal work hours, and holder of a full
driver's license.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Ngaanyatjarra (or other western desert Aboriginal) cultures and/or
art centres.
- Ability to live and work in a remote community.
