About the team
The Integrated Work Programs team provides operational expertise in the management of water, recycled water, wastewater and stormwater networks to achieve customer, shareholder and regulatory requirements.
The focus of the Resource Coordinator role is to balance customer needs while supporting resource allocation and logistics.
The team protects Sydney Water's assets, customers and the environment by:
- Case managing major infrastructure and development programs
- Ensuring new assets can be operated and maintained
- Planning of network operations to manage safety, customer and environmental risks during connection of new/renewed/adjusted assets
- scheduling of trials, audits, disinfections, shutdowns
- Inspecting the existing network to identify safety and condition related issues and specifying corrective actions.
About the role
As a Resource Coordinator reporting to the Planning Lead, you will be responsible for field resource coordination and scheduling of people and equipment to meet resource capacity plan requirements, including case management of developer connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange people, major and minor Plant and Equipment (P&E) into crews and availabilities to meet the capacity plan requirements.
- Accurately maintain resource availabilities within the Field Mobility System (FMS) at least three months in advance and adjust for changes in a timely manner when changes occur.
- Manage resourcing related scheduling exceptions.
- Manage fatigue impacts on future resource schedules.
- Create work orders and book appointments for disinfections and shutdowns to be performed.
- Support dynamic scheduling of operational work.
- Assign resource level job plans for trials and installation of temporary pressure gauges.
About you
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A valid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one immediately).
- Experience in resource allocation that meets operational license requirements.
- Familiarity with evaluating designs for water, recycled water, wastewater, and stormwater systems to ensure effective operation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in computerised maintenance and process management systems.
- Knowledge of network operations to deliver essential services to our customers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in managing customer, stakeholder, and regulatory relationships.
