The Role

Full‑time, permanent role in the Melbourne CBD office for an experienced Employment Lawyer. Current practice is dominated by defendant‑representative work in Workplace Relations, Employment and WHS matters. The successful candidate will have well‑rounded skills across drafting, negotiating, advisory and dispute resolution, and a demonstrated history of formulating pragmatic and commercially sound solutions to Employment, Workplace and WHS related issues that arise with clients.

As this senior‑level role, you will also be expected to mentor and guide junior lawyers.

Essential Requirements

- 5 – 7 years post‑admission experience exclusively in Employment, Workplace and WHS law, accrued in the Melbourne CBD in reputable firms with a similar client profile known for their strengths in this area

- Detail‑oriented and a strong commercial acumen

- Excellent interpersonal skills: strong plain English communication skills (verbal and written) and a friendly manner with a team‑player attitude
