Position Overview
NTT DATA invites you to join as a Principal Sales Consultant focused on Application Services in Sydney, Australia. This role drives growth in the Australian market, leveraging deep industry knowledge within the Banking & Financial Services sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales expertise for the development and implementation of complex digital products, applications, and solutions.
- Drive sales, deal strategy, solution development, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Leverage industry knowledge to build relationships, understand customer needs, and provide tailored solutions that drive revenue and customer success.
- Engage prospects and existing clients through consultative selling techniques to uncover pain points and business needs.
- Work closely with solution teams and practice experts to develop customized solutions that address client‑specific challenges.
- Define client value and relevance of solution using industry‑relevant KPIs.
- Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to provide strategic advice on technology, product, and business clients.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by anticipating needs in advance.
- Assess potential application of digital products to meet client needs, preparing detailed specifications for development and implementation.
- Support NTT DATA’s client/enterprise product sales efforts through consultative selling activities.
Core Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in consulting or IT services industry sales.
- Minimum 8 years of experience negotiating, shaping, and closing large deals in the professional services space.
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling Custom Application Development, Application Architecture, Cloud Migration & Legacy Modernization services/solutions.
- Minimum 10 years of cross‑industry experience with several years focused on the Banking & Financial Services Industry.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience).
- Proven experience leading large, complex, strategic sales opportunities.
- Ability to engage and build relations with senior leadership at Fortune 500 organizations.
- Excellent leadership skills, overseeing and inspiring multiple teams in a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
- Strategic thinking, teamwork, influence, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, high professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
- Broad business experience driving deal shaping and origination.
- Interaction with senior leadership at a client and/or within NTT DATA.
