Selection Criteria

- Principal Support – EA to Principal. This includes administrative support with managing diary, travel, correspondence, communications, maintaining documentation, creating agendas and taking minutes, taking phone calls, liaising with the Department and community stakeholders. Ensuring that the image and reputation of the school and Principal Team are maintained to the highest standard possible.
- Staffing & HR – manage staff leave applications and maintain records. Manage the administration of the staff recruitment process – including advertise jobs, arrange interviews, prepare contracts and induction program. Ensure compliance and Department of Education HR procedures and policies are adhered to. Facilitate gifts for staff for significant occasions.
- Finance ¿ oversight and assistance with Accounts Payable / Receivable and manage hirer contracts and relationships.
- College Events & Functions - organise catering and logistics for internal and external events. Ensure College Tours operate regularly and effectively. Manage expenses – raise purchase orders, credit card reconciliation etc
- Uniform Supplier Management – liaise with supplier, manage uniform stock, changes and buy backs.
- School Council / PFA – develop and maintain agendas, minutes, policies, WWCC and catering for meetings.
- General Office ¿ Supporting the ongoing operations of the General Office and Admin Team as needed.
- Any other duties as directed by the Principal
Role
Attendance requirement: Monday-Friday 8.00am - 4.06pm, break (unpaid) 30 minutes per day. Additional attendance as required (48/52).
Range 3 is distinguished by the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs.
Direction on targets and goals is provided but the position will have some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved. This latitude will generally be limited by standard procedures and school policy. Deviation from standard procedures and school policy will require guidance and direction from senior management.
Responsibilities
- Research, plan and prepare development programs for support staff.
- Administer training to school staff in specialist professional support areas, e.g. therapy, social work and psychology services.
- Manage recruitment procedures.
- Provide authoritative advice to the leadership team on support structures and work practices.
- Assist in the development of work practices that ensure appropriate occupational health and safety standards are maintained.
- Manage procedures relating to employee relations issues.
- Assist in the development of human resource planning.
