Tully Hill is accepting applications for experienced individuals to join our team of SUD Counselors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supervision and care in accordance with Tully Hill policies to patients seeking inpatient treatment for substance use disorders.

Job duties include:

1. Performing essential counseling functions
2. Conducting patient education regarding substance use disorders
3. Group counseling
4. Orientation activities
5. Basic crisis response
6. Conducting luggage and room searches
7. Conducting safety and security rounds of the facility and grounds in accordance with established schedule
8. Reporting and record keeping

The counselor will work collaboratively with all departments to achieve the best outcomes for patients and families. Full-time, part-time, or per diem opportunities are available, with weekday evening and/or weekend shifts (day/evening).

Our goal is to hire experienced counseling staff who can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Qualified individuals must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills and EMR skills are required. Candidates must ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of documentation to comply with CARF standards, NYS regulations, and other applicable State and Federal regulations, referral sources, and insurance contract requirements.

Minimum qualifications include:

1. Associate’s degree in human services (preferred)
2. CASAC-Trainee, CASAC, or other NYS QHP certification (preferred)
3. Demonstrable knowledge of substance use disorders and 12-Step philosophy (preferred)
