THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Operations Directorate is responsible for the Commission's investigations. The two business units, Investigations and Operational Support, work together to proactively identify and investigate allegations of serious misconduct, unexplained wealth and criminal benefits. The focus of the Commission's investigations is on systemic and complex matters, many of which require the use of specialist capabilities.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Technical Specialist - Data Engineering and Intelligence Systems contributes to the development of specialist technical capabilities and is responsible for turning raw data from a variety of sources into actionable intelligence. You will be exposed to complex and interesting datasets, and be responsible for using your ETL, SQL, and Python Skills to build and maintain pipelines that support strategic intelligence systems, and tactical operational tasks. You will have access to a well-resourced contemporary technology stack and be supported by a team of multi-disciplinary technical specialists that are dedicated to their mission.

Pre-employment Requirements:

- Australian citizenship (or immediate eligibility). Appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
- Availability to work outside of normal hours and periodically participate in on-call response as required.
