We are seeking to establish a pool of Library and Administration Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
The Library and Administration Support Officer supervises the daily operations of the school library, ensuring the provision of reference and information services to staff and students.
Suitable applicants will provide general administrative support to the front office, including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices and maintaining databases or websites. In addition, you would assist in booking equipment and facilities whilst distributing and collecting documents, forms, and mail.
The role also includes planning and preparing for school functions, arranging catering and making travel arrangements for school staff. Part of the role includes providing support to student‑related activities such as maintaining student attendance records, generating routine reports, and correspondence related to absenteeism, and assisting with student enrolment procedures.
The desired applicants will be responsible for maintaining our school library, ensuring it is a learning hub that inspires our students to develop a passion for reading. Ideally, the desired applicants will create a library that is a centre for investigation and exploration, as well as a welcoming, safe and inclusive space for students. The role includes administering library systems, maintaining accurate records through cataloguing, archiving, and updating descriptor notes. The position provides a customer‑focused service, offering guidance on library systems, equipment, computers, audio‑visual tools, and internet use to support the school community.
Suitable applicants will ideally be collaborative team members with good attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. Ideally, applicants will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community, and teaching staff.
The desired applicant will ideally be caring, optimistic, self‑reflective, have a great sense of humour and possess a desire to see all students succeed.
