Based in the University Library at the City East or the City West campuses
- Two (2) full-time, two year fixed term contracts
- Commencement Salary: $72,943 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

**About the Role**

The Graduate Library Officer is a developmental position for those intending to undertake the University’s Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Management or have recently completed Post Graduate studies in Information Management. The Graduate Library Officer will develop the skills and knowledge to enable them to successfully undertake duties within the library and information science profession whilst undertaking rotations through various service areas of the Library.

This role requires changes in the duties undertaken at intervals determined by a Library Deputy Director to provide opportunities to broaden experience and allow the Library to respond to new university priorities.

The Library also coordinates copyright for the University. There are five campus libraries, located at City East, City West, Magill, Mawson Lakes and Whyalla as well as the Off Campus Library Service. Information technology and information resource management services are on the Mawson Lakes campus. The Library has a growing research collections with over 700,000 ebooks and online journals as well as print resources and archival collections.

The Library is operating in an environment of increasing availability of digital information and demand and plays a significant role in training staff and students in information skills.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Recent Graduate from UniSA in a related discipline
- Eligible to meet the requirements for entry into Post Graduate studies in Information Management at the University of South Australia
- Demonstrated ability to quickly become a productive member of a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal skills to enable effective communication and interaction with other people at appropriate levels of the organisation
- Understanding of, and commitment to, a high level of customer service
