Management Accountant

The Management Accountant plays a critical role in driving the financial performance and strategic direction of Linde South Pacific. This position serves as a key financial adviser to management by delivering accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis and corporate reporting to support decision-making across the organization. You will help Linde South Pacific deliver on its promise of innovation, operational excellence, and value creation for employees, customers, and stakeholders across the region.

- You will ensure the integrity of the company’s financial data, support corporate-level compliance with global accounting standards, and contribute to effective resource allocation that aligns with strategic objectives
- Responsible for detailed budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights, they empower the business to optimize operations, manage risks, and identify opportunities for sustainable growth
- Instrumental in ensuring the effective utilization of financial data throughout the organization, enabling decisions that drive profitability, operational efficiency, and overall business success
- Prepare consolidated financial reports at a corporate level, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), provide in-depth analysis of financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities across business units
- You will assist in the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
- Further you will also assist in coordinating the annual budgeting cycle and rolling forecasts for the South Pacific region.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate budget submission and alignment with organizational strategy and business plan, and to collaborate with regional or divisional finance teams to develop consistent budgeting models and reporting frameworks
- Prepare and analyze variance reports, providing actionable insights on discrepancies and financial performance
- You will conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, as well monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates and recommendations to management
- Support decision-making related to operational planning and resource allocation
- Prepare financial presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings, and external stakeholders
- You will act as a central liaison between business unit controllers and the APAC & Global FPA&R team to ensure timely delivery of consolidated reports and analyses
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines and to assist in internal/ external audits and ensure adherence to Linde’s financial controls framework and SOX Controls
- Undertake financial modelling and analysis to support new business initiatives, capital expenditure proposals, and strategic projects
- In this role, you will manage corporate finance systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with global reporting standards
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems and other corporate financial tools, ensuring seamless integration across business functions
What makes you great
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Further a professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial gases, or similar industry is a plus
- Familiarity with multinational and matrix organizations is desirable
- A proactive and solutions-driven mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, data analysis) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, IBM Analytics)
