The Role
Our client is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to grow their footprint across Melbourne's East & South Eastern Suburbs. This role is all about hunting for new business—finding, engaging, and winning new customers while also maintaining key relationships. If you thrive on sales, enjoy building relationships, and want to make a difference in the recycling space, this is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business – Identify, approach, and secure new customers needing plastic recycling solutions.
- Account Management – Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business.
- Sales & Consultation – Develop tailored recycling solutions, advising on bins, compactors, and waste strategies.
- Market Growth – Spot new opportunities to expand services and partnerships in the recycling sector.
- Industry Awareness – Keep up with market trends and competitors to stay ahead.
About You
- Proven sales experience, preferably in business development or account management.
- A hunter—confident in prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Strong communicator with great relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven.
- Understanding of recycling or waste management is a plus (or willingness to learn).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region.
