About the Opportunity
As the Head of Technical Pre-Sales, based at our global headquarters in Perth, you will lead the strategy, structure, and execution of technical pre-sales across Micromine’s global operations. This role is instrumental in defining a scalable, consistent, and high-impact pre-sales function that aligns with our growth strategy and enhances customer confidence in our solutions.
You will work closely with Regional Technical Services Managers, Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure our pre-sales engagements are compelling, efficient, and technically robust. With a clear focus on operational excellence, you’ll drive process improvement, implement global standards, and mentor a distributed team of high-performing technical professionals.
Reporting to the Global Head of Projects, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and institutionalising global technical pre-sales processes and methodologies.
- Leading and coaching a regional team of technical pre-sales professionals.
- Supporting go-to-market efforts through technical validation, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Partnering with Sales, Product, and Marketing to ensure alignment and a seamless customer experience.
- Defining KPIs, performance metrics, and governance frameworks for pre-sales excellence.
- Managing systems and tools to support reporting, knowledge sharing, and performance tracking.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strategic mindset paired with a deep understanding of enterprise software sales cycles and a passion for leading technical teams.
Key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or a related field.
- Proven leadership in scaling and optimising pre-sales functions across regions or business units.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
- Experience in mining technology, engineering software, or geoscience solutions is highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Geoscience, or a related field.
