Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). The Opportunity The Population and Preventive Health Directorate is seeking an experienced policy professional ready to take on an important role providing advice on complex issues and developing and implementing strategic policies and projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, solution-focused team environment for someone who is proactive, enjoys collaboration with stakeholders and has a passion for population and preventive health. Position Profile This position contributes to strategic public health policy development particularly in relation to healthy lifestyle promotion and chronic disease prevention. The successful applicant will research, analyse, and provide policy advice on issues relevant to population health and chronic disease prevention. They will assist with the development of strategic policy and options for implementation.
