About the opportunity

There is currently one permanent position with flexible working arrangements available for immediate filling. The role is responsible for leading the department’s Integrity Coordination Unit, which oversees the department-wide complaints management system and promotes integrity and ethical conduct across the organisation. This role undertakes the assessment, investigation, and case management of disciplinary matters, providing expert advice and support to the Corporate Executive, Decision Makers, Managers, and Staff on all aspects of discipline and misconduct processes. You will also support the Assistant Director, Workplace Relations, in developing strategies and delivering initiatives to prevent, detect, and respond to conduct issues, aligned with the department’s Integrity Framework and the ethical principles of the WA Public Sector.

We are looking for individuals with:

- Demonstrated considerable experience in assessment, investigation and/or case management of complex and sensitive employment based disciplinary or similar matters, preferably within a public sector environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative and regulatory frameworks governing integrity and ethical conduct, preferably within the WA public sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or certificate IV in Government Investigations are highly desirable.

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
