The Role

An office-based role with room to grow, tackle exciting challenges, and develop your skills. Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you’ll oversee the accuracy and compliance of Novatech’s financial operations, including payroll, month-end processes, and key financial activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Coordinating and executing weekly payroll, including managing all pay-related queries and ensuring payroll compliance.

- Completing comprehensive financial compliance tasks including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover reconciliations.

- Coordinating end-of-month accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy through reconciliations and variance analysis.

- Maintaining integrity of accounting records, including Cash Accounts reconciliation and Fixed Asset Register management.

- Supporting development of accounting policies, process enhancements, and internal controls.

- Provide high-level assistance to the Business Services Manager with financial management, data auditing, and analysis, while staying up to date with legislative changes and new technologies.

- Be highly proficient with ERP systems such as MYOB Acumatica, understanding how to navigate and resolve issues within these platforms efficiently.

- Have advanced Excel skills, comfortable using formulas and functions to analyse data and generate actionable reports.

- Remain composed and focused under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines and delivering accurate results on time.

Additionally, you will hold the following essentials:

- A Diploma of Accounting or equivalent qualification.

- A thorough understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and both administrative and financial accounting processes.

- A proactive approach to process improvement, continuously seeking ways to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Desirable: Membership in a recognised accounting body is considered an advantage but is not essential.
