Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of an innovative Council seeking to make a positive difference in the community you support? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced HR Officer to join our team for a maternity leave relief temporary contract until July 2026.

About the role

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of end-to-end generalist HR services including the recruitment, training and development, and staff induction functions to meet Council’s ongoing People and Culture responsibilities.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field e.g. Human Resources Management, Learning and Development or Business;
- Previous work experience in a similar role in either the public or private sector;
- A demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgment in resolving problems;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation;
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
- Ability to work under pressure and set priorities to meet key deadlines.

Salary range

From $1499 to $1735 per week (plus super) dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate.
