Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with a fantastic health service in the South West Region of Queensland to help them find an experienced Primary Health or Practice Nurse to join their team on an agency contract basis.
- Up to $80 per hour base rate (based on exp)
- 6 Week Agency Contract
- Clinic Hours Monday to Friday

Your Main Duties
The primary function of this position is to provide high quality nursing practice including assessment, chronic disease management, examination, treatment, case management, health promotion, quality improvement and population health education.
The Location
Tucked away in the heart of outback Queensland, this remote riverside town offers an authentic taste of the Australian bush. Surrounded by vast red-earth plains and mulga country, it's a place where time slows down. Visitors can soak in naturally heated artesian waters and explore wide-open landscapes teeming with birdlife and native wildlife.
This outback town offers a range of conveniences for visitors and residents alike. It features essential services like a 24/7 health centre, aged care, and a public library, alongside recreational amenities including a swimming pool, golf course, bowls club, and racecourse. This remote setting provides a well-rounded mix of comfort, culture, and country hospitality.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration, no restrictions
- Immunisation experience and certification
- Previous Primary Health/Practice nursing experience
- All nursing competencies up to date
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e. Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
Essential Skills
- Chronic Disease Management
- Blood collection
- ECG
- Nationally recognised vaccination certification
- Covid 19 vaccine modules (all)
- Basic Life Support (CPR) - minimum
Desirable Skills
- Spirometry
- Cannulation
