Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised OHS Support Officer to join our People and Culture team. This part-time role (30.4 hours per week) offers flexible hours spread across five days.
**What You’ll Do**
As the OHS Support Officer, you will provide essential operational and administrative support to the OHS team, assisting in managing workplace health and safety, injury management, and wellbeing programs. You’ll be a vital part of ensuring our organisation meets OHS requirements and fosters a safe working environment.
**What you’ll be working on**
- Supporting the coordination of health and wellbeing programs.
- Assisting in the management of safety inspections, audits, and injury claims.
- Administering the Incident and Claims Management system.
- Preparing and distributing OHS and injury management reports.
- Assisting with staff training and inductions.
**We’re looking for someone with**:
- A diploma or certificate in Work Health & Safety, Injury Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to managing health and safety risks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
