To provide this support, we are looking for a Payroll and Compliance Officer to join our People & Culture Team on a permanent part-time basis.
About the role
- Reporting to the Payroll & Compliance Manager, In this role you will:_
- Prepare and process payroll and personal transactions as well as reports on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis
- Process a variety of payroll-related actions including tax withholding, Superannuation contributions, payroll deductions, and singly touch payroll requirements and remittances
- Process employee taxation and calendar year-end information to balance, including issuing payment summaries through Single Touch Payroll
- Maintain all employee information and payroll documentation and files
- Respond to requests and inquiries in relation to payroll matters from staff members and external bodies
- Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of payroll related year-end information to the ATO and other government agencies
About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Previous experience in a payroll position in a medium to large enterprise
- Experience with various payroll packages and time and attendance systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with, and manage a range of different stakeholders
- Strong administrative and organisation skills with a focus on prioritising and attention to detail
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compliance with relevant privacy legislation
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
