Senior Payroll and Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll and Compliance Officer to join our team at Transcend Managed Services. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Process and reconcile payroll transactions, including STP and payment processing.
- Manage legislative changes and implement new workflows and strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and employees on payroll-related matters.
- Regulate payroll risk and record and action risk parameters, issues, improvements, and best practices.
- Coordinate return to work and administer updates.
- Forecast and estimate payroll data and payments.
- Experience in implementing and managing payroll governance.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, legislation, and policy.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll systems and maintenance of rates and integrations.
- Previous experience of working in payroll essential and HR experience preferred.
- Proven communication and leadership skills and the ability to support and influence change.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll processing software (Astute preferred but not essential).
- Full-time permanent position.
- Flexible working environment with option to work from home 2 days per week.
- Salary $110k plus Super.

- Office based in Hampton East close to Moorabbin train station.
- Additional CBD office option to work from.
