**What you’ll do**
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, The National Sales Manager (NSM) will be responsible for leading, engaging, and coaching a team of high performing Regional Account Managers (RAMs). This leadership position will be responsible for fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, transparency and collaboration. This role leads in-field activities to deliver purpose-driven performance and the achievement of exceptional results.
As a National Sales Manager, you will:
- Lead, coach, motivate and inspire a team of Regional Account Managers (RAMs) to achieve or exceed sales objectives in their assigned territories, contributing to the Australian organization meeting or exceeding sales and revenue objectives
- Develop and maintain a sales team culture in line with the company values
- Provide leadership as a Positive Change Agent in a fast paced and evolving market and environment
- Develop and implement sales plan in line with the company objectives, and lead territory planning process and development with RAMs
- Analyse market segments and develop and implement a sales targeting model with appropriate reach and frequency metrics in partnership with Commercial Operations
- Recruit, hire and retain sales talent including development and mentoring of high performing RAMs
- Foster teamwork between marketing, sales, and medical to achieve organisational goals
**Essential for the role**
- Bachelors degree in Business or Scientific field
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales management experience
- Minimum 8 years industry experience in sales roles
- Business oriented - sound business planning and project management skills
- Deep understanding of Key Account Management principles and proven track record of developing and successfully executing compelling account strategies.
- Ability to travel nationally on a regular basis which will include overnight and weekend travel
- Experience in highly specialised or rare disease preferred
- Nephrology and/or haematology experience preferred.
