Principal Portfolio Officer

**As our Principal Portfolio Officer, you will**: - Progress the implementation and subsequent operation of investment prioritisation, portfolio management and performance management to manage risk and focus the department's investment in and delivery of priority outcomes, consistent with DAF's and the Government's strategic direction. Monitor and report on DAF's portfolio, programs, projects, core business and corporate performance including risk, outputs, outcomes and benefits. Analyse information and clearly communicate useful and relevant findings about DAF's portfolio, programs, projects, core business to support effective investment decision-making and organisational performance management by Senior Leaders and governance committees to meet statutory whole-of government reporting requirements. Provide advice and build capability in the management of portfolio, programs, projects, core business and performance management across the department through education, training and communities of practice. Prepare briefing notes, presentations, information papers, reports and correspondence on DAF's portfolio, programs, projects, core business and corporate performance including matters for discussion with departmental executives, Ministers and other stakeholders. Contribute to a culture which fosters collaboration, evidence-based decision making, innovation, and enterprise performance. Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to build trusted and strong working relationships. Represent DAF on forums and committees and in whole of government processes as required. Contribute to other activities of the DAF EMPO and Corporate business group as required.
