Services Australia (the agency) delivers Centrelink, Child Support, health payments and services, including Medicare, and Australian Hearing services.

The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) manages the agency’s program and project portfolio, supporting the successful delivery of new and enhanced outcomes for customers and staff.

The EPMO is responsible for developing and maintaining best practice portfolio management foundations, providing tailored support to the Project, Program and Portfolio (P3) community to uphold best practice including stewarding investment decisions and portfolio health and building broader capability across the agency in portfolio management disciplines.

We are looking to fill a range of APS6 Portfolio Officer positions and are seeking a diverse range of skills and experience to support the successful delivery of agency programs and projects. These roles include end-to-end portfolio functions, including investment and prioritisation, governance, benefits and change management, program and project support and assurance, risk, data analysis, and reporting.

Working under the broad direction of an Assistant Director, you will optimise the effectiveness of portfolio management in your area of responsibility. These roles will support a range of functions, including engaging with and providing expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, supporting communications with the Agency’s executive and ensuring support for programs and projects to successfully deliver outcomes.

In performing a leadership role, you will be required to develop staff capability and manage staff performance where required. You will also be required to contribute to strategic planning, support and drive innovation and changes in workplace practices, and perform a key role in developing and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.
