Eden Ritchie is seeking a **Principal Policy Officer** who will be responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of portfolio strategies, programs and projects using best practice methodologies to manage risks and dependencies and deliver actions within agreed timescales and budgets, to ensure effective implementation of procurement reform initiatives across whole-of-government.

**As the Principal Policy Officer, your key responsibilities will include**:

- Actively contribute to the development, implementation and review of whole-of-government policies that influence procurement compliance and provide technical advice to the Manager and the Director on potential impacts.
- Provide high quality advice to whole-of-government and suppliers about strategies, frameworks, policies and guidelines as required to improve procurement compliance outcomes under the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP), Ethical Supplier Mandate (ESM) and Ethical Supplier Threshold (EST).
- Lead the development of high level ministerial and executive correspondence, policy documents, briefs, Cabinet submissions, project documentation and other written materials supporting the complex operation of the Branch.
- Provide research and analytical support by undertaking environmental scanning, jurisdictional comparisons and data collection to support development and implementation of new policy initiatives using industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a whole-of-government training program including developing training documentation, presentations, and other artefacts to uplift capability across procurement sector to improve compliance with government policies including QPP, ESM and EST.
- Support the activities of the Tripartite Procurement Advisory Panel, co-ordinate all activities and preparing a range of documentation including decision and outcome reports, arrange all administrative support including co-ordination of meetings and maintain an accurate register of breach and sanction outcomes as per recordkeeping standards.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Proven experience in leading and managing the development, analysis and review of policies, programs and interpreting legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing potentially competing tasks and activities of high complexity and priority in a fast pace environment.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication capability that results in the production of clear, concise and accurate advice targeted to internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, ability to deal with ambiguity, use initiatives and resolve problems, often within tight timeframes.
