**Position Overview**
In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the infrastructure planning projects are executed smoothly. Your role will revolve around providing essential portfolio oversight and reporting, aligning each initiative with the overarching goals. As a seasoned expert, you'll also be at the forefront of delivering specialised advice on matters related to infrastructure, planning, and asset management, fostering collaboration across various departments within the organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**
Your responsibilities will encompass offering your expertise to develop effective reporting strategies and tools for project success. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders and departments, providing specialised advice on infrastructure, planning, and asset management. Being a key contributor to the establishment of policies, processes, and tools for quality improvement is another exciting aspect of this role.
You'll provide high-level advice and reports to branch management, senior executives, Regional Directors, and Principals. Ensuring effective correspondence management and preparing various documentation as needed will also fall under your purview. Your collaborative spirit will shine as you work closely with a skilled infrastructure planning team, contributing your insights to the team's collaborative efforts.
**Qualifications and Experience**
To succeed in this role, you should possess a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and deliver under tight deadlines. Solid experience in project portfolio reporting and a deep understanding of project and program methodologies are highly valued. Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote will stand you in good stead. Familiarity with Content Manager and Systems Analysis Program (SAP) is a plus.
While formal qualifications in Project Management, Architecture, Town Planning, or related disciplines are desirable, they are not mandatory.
**Accountabilities**
As the Principal Planning Officer, your accountability will extend to analysing and reporting on infrastructure planning programs, contributing to new school proposals. Collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and enhance processes is a key responsibility. Providing high-level advice and reports to different levels of management and stakeholders is also a critical aspect of your role.
You'll be responsible for managing team correspondence and preparing necessary reports and documentation. Embracing a collaborative approach within the infrastructure planning team and the broader Service Strategy team will be pivotal to your success.
