**The program**
Australian Red Cross’ Migration Support Programs are driven to ensure that essential humanitarian needs are provided to migrants as they transition into Australian society. The purpose of a MSP Casework Support Volunteer is to support caseworkers with client triaging, assessment, and on-going casework within the MSP case management model. The MSP Casework Support volunteer will play an integral function in this process by providing direct case work support, program support and administrative assistance through effective case management.

**The opportunity**
This role will provide volunteers the opportunity to participate by:

- Support casework staff in their service delivery to clients
- Outreach for matters relating to accommodation, orientation and accompanying to medical appointments
- Monitor electronic mailboxes and triage information
- Create and maintain client profiles on Red Cross database
- Respond to drop-in clients and phone queries
- Maintain an up-to-date database of external support services
- Identify suitable employment, volunteer or community connection opportunities for clients
- Provide advocacy around reduced or waived service fees and medical bills
- Conduct client satisfaction surveys
- Assist with compiling reports and feedback

**The impact**
Volunteers will use their knowledge, skills and experience to make a difference in the lives of migrants transitioning to Australian society. Play an integral role in supporting the program, the caseworkers, and the clients.
