Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. This position plays and important role in creating a positive image for the Cardiology Department, being the first point of contact for patients, either in person or by telephone.

Administrative Clerks also provide secretarial, reception and administrative support to facilitate the management of patients, their appointments and records within the department.

Where required, the position will also be responsible for the identification of billable patients, provision of the correct billing codes to the Finance Department, reconciliation between systems and follow-up of billing.

- Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of hospital management systems (i.e. TrakCare, Cerner and Cardiobase)
