About the Role

The Environmental Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the smooth operation of our volunteer program while supporting various administration aspects of our organisation. This position demands a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate groups of volunteers and provide support to them in person, in calls, and in written form.
  • Organise group volunteer events, including seeking and scheduling volunteers, organising meals, booking rooms, ensuring WHS policies are adhered to, and being the point of contact for volunteers on the day and prior.
  • Coordinate distribution of information and follow-up with volunteers for timely updates and problem-solving.
  • Review volunteer EOI, onboard, and allocate to appropriate assignments.
  • Monitor and track volunteer activities for reporting and accountability.
  • Order, organise, and coordinate delivery of materials for volunteer kits.
  • Provide administrative support to the manager, maintain records, file management, create templates and processes, and provide accurate reporting.
  • Deliver materials, post supplies, pick up adhoc supplies, in Metropolitan Melbourne and surrounds using your own vehicle.

  • Passion for sustainability and the environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and effective task & time management skills.
  • Experience working with volunteers and staff.

We offer a competitive salary package of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, plus opportunities for professional development and growth.
