About Procurement SA, the Department of Treasury and Finance

Procurement SA is the government’s lead agency to the procurement profession in the South Australian public sector. Its main purpose is to add value to government procurement activities through strategy, capability development, analysis and advice.

About the Opportunity

The Project Officer (Policy) will be responsible for undertaking a range of procurement-based project and policy activities, and will:

- contribute to operational planning, program coordination, and project management;
- provide project support to industry groups and networks; and
- coordinate the evaluation of policies and the identification of emerging policy issues, by assisting with the research and analysis of procurement matters.

As part of the government’s procurement function you will contribute to achieving economic, social and environmental benefits for all South Australians.

We are looking for someone with
- a customer centric approach to service delivery;
- experience coordinating and undertaking project, program or policy administration functions;
- the ability to adapt communications for the intended purpose and audience; and

Special Conditions:

- The incumbent will be required to participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program
- The incumbent will be required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) General Employment Probity Check and may also be required to gain a DHS Working with Children Check and/or National Police Check prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
