The Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for economic, social and financial policy outcomes. We play a vital role in providing financial services to the community and economic and fiscal policy advice to the Government of South Australia.

The Government’s main financial management system (FMS), Masterpiece, used by the majority of SA Government Agencies (excluding SA Health), was implemented 30 years ago and is reaching the end of its useful life. The Finance Reform Program (FRP) is leading a significant program for State Government to implement a new contemporary FMS, and best practice processes. The program will fundamentally change the way finance activities are performed across all in-scope Agencies and impact a broad range of stakeholders, including financial, ICT and operational teams.

**Job Summary**

The Project Officer will support the Program Director and Program Officer Lead in a number of project management activities to deliver on this significant project for State Government. It will also provide administrative support functions, as required by the Program Director and Program Officer Lead.

The primary roles of the Project Officer is to support the Program Director and Program Office Lead in undertaking project management activities and administrative support functions.

**Special Conditions**

This is contract position. Some out of hours work may be required. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. The incumbent may be required to be assigned to another position at the same classification level across the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). The incumbent will be required to participate in DTF’s Performance Management Program.
