**About the opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a **Project Officer** to join the Office of Hydrogen Power SA. The Project Officer will work across OHPSA’s project functions and is responsible for the provision of business and project management support, contributing to outcomes of projects by maintaining project documentation, conducting research, analysis and evaluation.

The Office of Hydrogen Power SA is the lead unit for responsible for overseeing the South Australian government’s hydrogen industry development and hydrogen project delivery. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of world-leading hydrogen projects and South Australia’s continued clean energy transition.

The **Office of Hydrogen Power SA** (OHPSA) is harnessing South Australia’s abundant renewable energy resources to accelerate the growth of South Australia’s hydrogen industry, establish a globally competitive export offer and continue our state’s world leadership in the clean energy transition to safely and sustainable generate the energy and low carbon products of the future.

OHPSA is responsible for several South Australian government priorities including:

- delivery Hydrogen Jobs Plan, which will see the development of a world-leading hydrogen-fuelled power station, hydrogen production facility and associated storage in the Upper Spencer Gulf by the end of 2025
- working with industry partners to deliver the Port Bonython Hydrogen Export Hub project as South Australia's first large-scale export terminal for hydrogen.
- hydrogen industry development activities to ensure South Australia is at the forefront of renewable hydrogen production.

Growth of South Australia’s hydrogen industry will help to unlock:

- thousands of new jobs for South Australians
- economic growth in the Upper Spencer Gulf region and across South Australia
- lower electricity prices for South Australian business and industry
- enhanced energy system security and reliability
- a new export sector for South Australia
- support for new and existing sustainable manufacturing industries
- the development of a substantial pipeline of renewable energy projects in South Australia

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with project planning activities, and managing work priorities to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing management and project demands
- Demonstrated experience in research, analysis and evaluation of complex initiatives.
- Proven experience in working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to effectively analyse complex matters and achieve suitable outcomes
- High level time management and organisation skills, including attention to detail, and the ability to maintain and implement systems and procedures

**Qualifications**:

**Remuneration**:
ASO5, $83,273 - $92,614 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week

**Special Conditions**:

- This is a contract/term vacancy up to 12 months
