We are currently looking for a:
Raging Waters Sydney - Head Guard

About the role:
Head Guards at Raging Waters Sydney will guide the Lifeguard and Aquatic Attendants (Aquatics team) in the delivery of facilities and services.

Head Guards are responsible for ensuring efficiency and optimization of operation for a designated zone in park including safety, guest experience, dispatch, and lifeguard vigilance.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Being an ambassador for Raging Waters Sydney and enforcing all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and those of Palace Entertainment and Parques Reunidos.- To effectively lead a team of Lifeguards and Aquatic Attendants (Aquatics Team).- Working with the Operations Manager to achieve line schedule requirements. Assist with rostering and managing staffing levels on the day of operation and general administration as required.- Where required directly assist in frontline operational requirements such as dispatch or lifeguard supervision.- Ensure all aquatics and attractions areas, are always supervised and that all policies and procedures are being followed.- Perform duties such as pool cleaning and assist with park presentation.- Conduct safety inspections and test sliding in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.- Facilitating and documenting team member rotations and breaks within the designated area in the park.- Conducting evaluation and audit of Lifeguard and Attendant performance and providing coaching where required.- Measuring wait times on queue lines achieving optimum dispatch efficiency by working directly with frontline.- Maintaining documents, reports and records for training, safety, and operational requirements.- Responding to guest enquiries, feedback and conflict as required.- Lead frontline lifeguards according to Emergency Action Plans until the arrival of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).- Assisting with in-service training requirements and facilitating ILTP training.- Ensure the parks “Keep Watch” policy is enforced by the aquatics team.- Provide guidance and mentoring for all aquatic team members to maintain a positive working environment.- Ability to recognise problems and make decisions to help resolve the problem. Anything more serious, refer to the Operations Manager.- Assist with administration tasks as directed.- Maintaining Park presentation standards to the highest level.- Assist with general cleaning of the park and grounds as seen to be necessary and as directed.- Assist with pressure washing duties outside of park operating hours.- Assist with grounds maintenance and work.- Assist with removal and repairs of tubes.- Assist with remediating attraction caulking.- Assist with any other maintenance tasks as directed.- Responsible for assisting with over park cleanliness including sweeping, trash pick-up, clearing and cleaning tables, emptying trash cans, maintaining picnic areas, maintaining birthday & cabana areas, work areas and restrooms.- Required to be a Lifeguard or Aquatic Attendant as required or directed.- To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatic Coordinator, Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or member of the Management Team.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
- Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.- Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.- Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.- Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.- Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.

**Education**:
