Raging Waters Sydney - Aquatic Coordinator
About the role:
The Aquatic Coordinator is responsible the day-to day operations, planning, safety, cost and direction of the Aquatics team whilst ensuring compliance with Guidelines and other regulatory industry bodies.
The Aquatic Coordinator will assist with training and leading the team by ensuring the Park and team are operating in a safe and effective way.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Being an ambassador for Raging Waters Sydney and enforcing all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and those of Palace Entertainment and Parques Reunidos.
- To effectively lead a team of Head Guards, Lifeguards and Aquatic Attendants.
- Coordinating all aspects of daily operation for the Aquatics Team Members by directing Head Guards and reporting on dispatch efficiency, vigilance evaluations, staff performance management records, incident reporting and Palace Entertainment HSE requirements.
- Monitor and maintain correct operating levels as specified in line schedules for all operational days.
- Coordinating staffing levels on operational days and nonoperational days utilising Quinyx scheduling system.
- Ensure all aquatics and attractions areas, are always supervised and that all policies and procedures are being followed.
- Coordinate head lifeguards in compliance for daily inspections of park zones and test sliding.
- Assisting the Operations Manager with recruitment training and requirements and facilitation of training in International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP), First Aid and CPR classes and all-in house-training requirements.
- To assist with effectively, recruiting, training, developing and mentor team members aquatics team.
- Ensuring requirements of the Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program (CARMP) are met including Zone Validation, record maintenance and documentation requirements are adhered to and ready for Audit.
- Oversee the evaluation and audit of Lifeguard and Attendant performance and providing coaching where required and holding Team Leaders accountable to minimum KPIs.
- Ensure optimum wait times and dispatch efficiency is achieved by working directly with team leaders and frontline.
- Oversee administrative compliance for any required reporting, records and training, safety, and operational requirements.
- Responding to guest enquiries, feedback and conflict as required.
- Act as a member of the Emergency Response team and provide all required direction to the Aquatics Team in the absence of the Operations Manager or Director of Operations.
- Ensure the quality of training programs in accordance with all ILTP, CARMP and in-house standards.
- Ensure the parks “Keep Watch” policy is enforced by the team.
- Recognise problems and make decisions to help resolve the problem. Effectively communicate serious nature problems to the Operations Manager.
- Assist with administration tasks as directed.
- Required to be a Lifeguard, Aquatic Attendant or Head Guard as required or directed.
- Maintaining Park presentation standards to the highest level.
- Assist with general cleaning of the park and grounds as seen to be necessary and as directed.
- Assist with pressure washing duties outside of park operating hours.
- Responsible for assisting with over park cleanliness including sweeping, trash pick-up, clearing and cleaning tables, emptying trash cans, maintaining picnic areas, maintaining birthday & cabana areas, offices, work areas and restrooms.
- Assist in the development, implementation, delivery and review of policy and procedures that ensure Raging Waters Sydney meets its various obligations including financial, workplace health and safety, industry, and legal requirements.
