**The Role**
Enterprise Committees has an exciting and unique opportunity for motivated professionals to provide administrative support to the strategic center of Defence.
Operating as part of a collegiate and supportive Branch, the opportunities presented are to:

- Gain an in-depth understanding of how senior leaders consider and make decisions on key strategic policies and capability programs and how options are presented to Government for consideration.
- Analyse issues of significant equity to the Associate Secretary and develop privileged insights into the operation of Defence.
- Influence the optimal functioning of the enterprise committees in supporting strategic and enterprise decision making.

The role will provide administrative support and assistance to Defence’s high-level committees. The team operates at a high tempo to assist Committee Chairs by managing respective forward work programs, agendas, paper distribution, developing outcomes and tracking committee actions. Committees supported are:

- Defence Committee - Chaired by the Secretary and the Chief of the Defence Force;
- Strategic Policy Committee - Chaired by the Secretary;
- Chiefs of Service Committee - Chaired by the Chief of the Defence Force;
- Enterprise Business Committee - Chaired by the Associate Secretary; and
- Investment Committee - Chaired by the Vice Chief of the Defence Force.

**About our Team**
Enterprise Committees is a dynamic, high performing team supporting the operations of senior decision making forums to enable Defence’s senior leaders. The team has exposure to critical issues, by being in the strategic centre of the Department.

Key functions performed within the team include:

- Provide advice to Defence’s senior leadership on a range of policy issues including to the Chair of Defence Committees and senior leaders on out outcomes, anticipating and responding by exercising initiative and judgement to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Attend senior Departmental committees and draft outcomes and decisions to circulation across senior officials.
- Be part of a high performing team to deliver strategic, analytical and administrative support to Defence senior leadership.
