**About the Role**
As the International Research Training Group (IRTG) Officer at the University of Melbourne, you'll work closely with the Senior Coordinator, using your knowledge of graduate research to establish and develop IRTGs. Your role will involve negotiating joint PhD agreements with international research partners, drafting documentation, and providing executive support to IRTG Advisory Boards. With your partnership development skills, you'll facilitate meetings, workshops, and visits to ensure successful collaboration between institutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate the negotiation and execution of joint PhD agreements and memoranda with international research partner institutions.
- Support the establishment, development, and administration of International Research Training Groups (IRTGs), including drafting project proposal call guidelines.
- Provide executive support to IRTG Advisory Boards.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues both externally (at IRTG partner institutions) and internally to support the IRTG portfolio.

**Who we are looking for**

You will be able to draw on your excellent time management and organisational skills, to achieve high-quality outcomes through observing priorities, instructions, and deadlines. You will deliver innovative and creative solutions and negotiate outcomes whilst managing multiple tasks with mínimal supervision.

You will also have:

- Tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant work-related experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of the academic and student administration procedures, policies, and systems as they relate to graduate research. Skilled in partnership development and success factors.
- Skilled in coordinating administrative/project activities with sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion. Proven ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
