**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Salary Offering: $64,064.00 (VALS D 1.2) plus 10.5% Superannuation**

**Additional Benefits**:

**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**:
As Database & Reporting Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with website and back end security maintenance, working with our Communications Team, large-scale physical filing and database management, reporting and maintenance that supports the organisation.

**_ Office Locations: High Street, Preston_**

**_ This role is full-time fixed term until 30 June 2025_**

**What might the Information Management Officer be involved with each day?**
- Attend to general maintenance, identifying and correcting any issues liaising with our support providers to troubleshoot where needed.
- Update content to the VALS website and be on hand to assist other team members when requested. This can include agency affiliates and junior advocate organisations.
- Routine internal data integrity and quality audits. You will be responsible for the creation, review and distribution of these, working towards further improvements in data accuracy and reliability within our storage systems.
- Ooversee the management of VALS large scale filing system that incorporates confidential records in both hardcopy and digital formats.
- Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reporting requests from internal sources that will require the creation, validation, and analysis of client information.
- You will be instrumental in the development of new database and online projects. Including assisting in the finalising of current exciting new projects and improvements to processes.
- Assist with the preparation of instructional documentation, training system improvements to VALS Client Management System and other general administrative task.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**:
**Essential**
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite, computerised database maintenance and management, data extraction, data analysis and verification, and manual filing systems.
- A demonstrable interest in sensitive information management. For instance, through work experience and/or relevant qualifications completed.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with solid administration capability.
- Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledge their diverse backgrounds, personalities and varying needs and the unique cultural ways in which they may be expressed.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and develop strong working relationships within a multi-skilled and multi-disciplinary working environment of continuous improvement, innovation, and change.
- Commitment to developing skills and competencies. Note we will help you with this too.

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of client management database software.
- Experience with computerised database creation.
- Transferable knowledge in system processes from other government or non-government agencies, or the motivation and willingness to learn.
- Experience working in and/or passionate about the non-profit sector.
