Our client is a leading metal solutions provider for the Australian, New Zealand and Oceania markets. They provide value-added metal solutions to customers in the automotive, construction, civil engineering, appliance, food, medical, and aerospace industries. As a group of professionals that specialise in import/export of materials for industries domestically and abroad, they provide meticulous services in response to their customer needs.

**Your new role**

The purpose of this role is to maintain current supplier/customer relationships and establish new import/export trading business with current accounts. Key responsibilities include:

- Maintain existing client relations, whilst also building new business within the Australasian market
- Trading of products through negotiation, understanding specs, sourcing, manufacturing and contract agreement/ delivery
- Co-operate with overseas colleagues and suppliers
- Professional customer service relationship development and management with all stakeholders
- Interstate and International travel as required
- Monitor production of orders placed with suppliers to ensure timely shipment
- Oversee accurate preparation of shipping and commercial documents from the logistics department
- Maintain market intelligence and pro-actively identify new opportunities
- Liaising with external providers, clients, customers, government bodies and industry leaders
- Preparation of sales and marketing reports for management

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Several years B2B sales or customer service experience, ideally with some knowledge and exposure to international trade
- Strong account management and communication skills
- Highly personable and relationship centric demeanour
- Willingness to travel interstate and internationally
- Full Australian work rights
