We are in the market for an experienced and qualified Recreation Centres Membership Officer, you are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. As the Membership Officer, you will work as part of a passionate team at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre, one of the premier sporting facilities in Western Australia supporting programs and services for the local community.

**What impact will you make?**
- Coordinate the attraction, induction and retention of Recreation Centre memberships and maximise membership attraction opportunities for the Recreation Centres.
- Maintain strong and influential relationships with existing Recreation Centre members, local businesses and relevant networks
- Coordinate the membership administration and reporting functions across the Recreation Centres business unit
- Develop strategies to measure membership, retention and participation.
- Assist in developing strategies for continuous improvement to drive business development
- Assist in motivating a team of front of house staff to consistently achieve excellence in customer service
- Ability to “think outside the box” and be flexible in the delivery of services to meet our community’s evolving expectations.

**What can you bring to the team?**
- Minimum two years Health and Fitness, Recreation or sales experience
- Minimum two years customer service experience
- Experience within a local government recreation centre environment (desirable)
- Health and Fitness, Recreation or sales knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of Health and Fitness and Recreation Centre Membership functions.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and understanding customer service excellence
- Experience with special populations (seniors / disabled) (Desirable)
- Develop, motivate and train staff on an ongoing basis
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles, practices and legislation.
- Customer Management system experience
- Certificate III or IV in Business or Fitness (desirable)
- National Police Clearance (within 6 months of date of issue).

**The finer details**

This part time (19 hours per week) Level 4 position attracts a salary range of $35.56 - $38.23 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Please note, this role may need to undertake weekend work when required.
