**About the Section**:
The Digital Governance Section is a multi-disciplinary section responsible for the themes of Information Governance and ICT-specific finance and procurement functions for the agency. Specific functions include:

- Information Governance
- Privacy
- Finance, procurement, contract management
- Records management

**Role responsibilities and duties**:
As the Digital Governance Manager, you will be accountable for the effective management and oversight of the output, productivity, and performance of the section. Duties include:

- Provide leadership to a team of specialists that are responsible for information governance (including records management and privacy), and ICT-specific finance and procurement.
- Develop and implement information governance policies, strategies and practices to ensure the agency’s digital assets are managed in a consistent and effective manner, promoting trust and accountability among stakeholders.
- Ensure outcomes meet the needs and expectations of stakeholders, by developing customer-centric practices for all digital governance activities.
- Provide expert advice to the agency’s leadership and stakeholders on all matters relating to digital governance; perform the role of Chief Information Governance Officer.
- Contribute to agency wide strategic planning. Set strategic direction, develop long term plans and implement strategies for the work area.
- Identify and lead innovation solutions. Provide leadership in implementing and promoting change and continuous improvement in the workplace.
- Ensure all Branch and Section activities are conducted with the highest levels of integrity and probity, including compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.

**Qualifications/experience**:
**Essential**
- Experience in digital governance, with a focus on information management, financial management, contract management and/or procurement.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team, with a focus on developing and implementing effective policies, procedures and practices.
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective digital governance strategies that align with organisational goals and objectives.

**Desirable**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in information management, information technology, business management, or a related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and guidelines relating to digital governance, including information management, privacy, financial management and procurement.
