**Description**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Insurance Risk Lead to join RACQ’s Risk Insurance team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This role will assist in fostering a risk-aware culture within RACQ Insurance, encouraging a self-reporting approach to increased awareness of operational incidents and prioritise necessary actions.
About the role:
- Contributing to the development of policies, processes, and systems for risk advisory and assurance.
- Leading the 2nd line-of-defence, challenge and assurance of risk decisions and behaviours across the Group.
- Enhancing risk decision-making, reporting, and monitoring processes through continuous improvement.
- Utilizing risk management tools to ensure accurate and effective governance-focused reporting.
- Providing leadership and training to ensure effective implementation of Risk policies and governance directives.
- Ensure accurate reporting of loss data to risk management governance committees.
**About You**
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Critical analysis of problems to uncover hidden insights with an enquiring mind and inquisitive nature regardless of obstacles.
- Experience working in risk, compliance, audit, or governance roles.
- Well-developed capability to establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and to effectively influence their views, decisions and actions through well-reasoned and researched arguments.
- Ability to adapt strategy to changing internal and external drivers.
