**Overview of role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled GIS Support Specialist to join our Asset Data and Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the spatial data needs of our organisation through the development, implementation and management of GIS solutions. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our spatial data infrastructure and providing high-quality spatial analysis to support decision-making processes.
A snapshot of your day
**As our GIS Support Specialist, you’ll be accountable for**:
Engage with stakeholders to understand their GIS data requirements and scope of projects to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Produce high-quality data and cartographic outputs for both internal and external stakeholders, using your GIS skills.
Manage GIS data workflows, including data loading, capture, formatting, cleansing, and processing GPS data, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Support projects and system enhancements by collaborating with contractors and internal teams, contributing your GIS expertise to achieve business goals.
Document and optimise processes to drive streamlined, effective GIS operations that meet agreed business outcomes.
**About you**:
You are highly skilled in stakeholder consultation and adept at translating their needs into GIS solutions.
You possess expertise in GIS software, ideally with experience in the ESRI suite.
You have formal qualifications in GIS or a related field or have gained significant on-the-job experience.
You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality outputs that enhance decision-making across the business.
