What you’ll be doing

A Melbourne based hospital require an Employee Relations Consultant to join their HR team.

A key function of the role is to support enterprise bargaining processes, implementation of new enterprise agreements and other entitlement related compliance activities.

The role also supports leaders in managing staffing and performance matters, managing complex employee relations matters, undertaking workplace investigations, advising leaders on best practice HR and organisation policy and procedures, and providing specialist IR advice on industrial instruments and employment legislation.
- Prior experience in an ER/IR advisory role, with a proven ability to develop effective strategies, solutions and interventions to address the full range of employee relations matters.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong client focus and able to develop effective relationships with clients
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills, including the ability to negotiate with staff at all levels and manage the resolution of disputes and grievances
- Sound judgement and maturity to handle sensitive matters competently.
- Ability to contribute effectively as a participative and supportive team member
